Just got a Callaway x2 Hot driver with stiff fujikara tour shaft. I'm very impressed with how it did on the course the other day. Most consistent club I had in the bag.

I'm not trying to call you a liar or anything.... but Tiger Woods couldn't shoot an 83 without playing for 4 years... Unless it was just 9 holes

A guy at work that plays Atleast once a week that I talk to about golf. He is 67 years old and he brought me a orlimar driver to work today for me to try. He told me to just tee up the ball and work on squaring up my swing and make sure I'm square when I hit the ball. He put a Winn dri tech oversized grip on it. It a whole lot lighter than my driver is. He said it probably is since my clubs are older. Anyway, I just googled my cougar x cat golf clubs and evidently I bought them around 2005 or so. My driver is a 380cc and this one is 460cc. How often do y'all upgrade your clubs? I would like to take the orlimar driver to the range over the weekend for me to try.

Clubs get better all the time so upgrades depend pretty much on your budget. I just picked up callaway irons a month ago to replace my taylor mades. I did keep my burner driver (at least 5 years old) cuz I really like how I hit it and I use an Odyssey putter that Ive had forever (over 10 years). So your best bet is go to a shop like Golfsmith and demo clubs until you find the ones you like the best then buy them at Dicks sporting goods where theyre cheaper hehehe.

It depends on how much you play. Irons won't lose their "pop" as quickly as woods will. Mai my because irons are thicker metal. If you play twice a week every week I would say upgrade your driver every other year. I just upgraded my irons after 15 years. Mainly because of funds but also technology has changed so much.

Ok nice I'll look into that as well. Going to the pro shop tomorrow. They have a really good deal right now. Buy a SLDR driver and get a hybrid/fairway wood for free.

I played golf for the first time in a while last Tuesday. This guy at work let me hit his orlimar driver and I liked it other than it has been shortened and I have a right hook with it. Today he brought me his callaway big Bertha diablo. It's a red and black one. Not sure how old it is. He said the other guy he plays with has the newer one the diablo edge. I took it to the range today and I hit it straight and I hit it pretty far. How old is his diablo driver. It is a 10 degree. Not sure if he would be willing to sell it but whT would be a fair price? He's been wanting me to go golfing with him. He's 67 years old and shoots normally in the low 80s.

Go on ebay and look for that driver. You will get an idea for price. Clubs don't hold their value. You can get some of the newest technology clubs on ebay for cheap, $50-$100. I only buy clubs on ebay from golf stores like 3balls, global golf, & rock bottom. That way you aren't buying knock offs. I picked up last week a New Taylormade Jetspeed 3wd stiff shaft for $39 on ebay & a New Jetspeed 5 wd stiff shaft for $49.

For anyone interested or curiuos about the Jetspeed fairways. They are phenominal! My 5wd HL I'm hitting 190-210yds. My 3wd HL I'm hitting 210-240yds.

Diablo edge is 2010 technology. It is what I found on google search. If you have a golf store nearby I would go hit several new drivers into the video wall and see what works for you the best. Then go on ebay and pick it up for cheap.

Fantastic club. I moved from the RBZ stage 2 3wd to the jetspeed 3wd hl. Much better club for me. 210-240yds so far. Only had it a week.

They make a huge difference. I was using 30 yr old Pings and bought a set of Taylormade Rocketbladez. 30-40 yds farther and straighter. Even miss hits go far. I bought a used set 2 years ago for $400. The set is so good, 3 buddies bought a set. The cheapest one of them paid was $250 from Globalgolf on ebay.

Played Saturday. Had a really decent day shot an 86, par was 67 though. I did drive the green on a 318yard hole though. I REALLY need to work on my chipping. Focused so much on my driving I've missed a lot of opportunities with chipping on and 2+ putts killing my game.

I'm planning to get my clubs extended, someone made a comment about me using my kids clubs and it got into my head (Im 6'8"). But I don't feel they're too small but I've always wondered how much better I'd be if I got sized. What an avg price range? Just club shaft and labor?

I too love to take my GoPro out with us. Few from some rounds.

Two years into it and doing pretty good i'd say.
