In Waipahu? I was going to ge get tires.. I never see you? I passed Ratha in Lanikai but was dark so I never noticed until he was gone already.

Yeah I got 285's. Had two Craig's list adds looking for them. One guy already found, the other guy seems pretty interested. I'm hoping he will counter offer tomorrow.

 

Im in da market for a new air filter to since in hokding iff on a vilant cai w/ram air scoop.

 

Drove over a grease spill at UH today and my tires and wheel well smell terrible, what do you guys think i should use to clean it? tried the meguiars purple rim cleaner and got most of it off but it still smells bad. I think it left white spots so had to wipe it down. What would be good to clean this stuff off and is safe for the plastic and whatnot?

 

I usually use Dawn to cut through serious grease, or the purple simple green. But both of those will take off wax so try not to get it on the paint.

No prob! If you use the purple simple green just mix it a couple times stronger than it says. And for simple green and dawn spray is on, let it soak for 10-15 minutes, spray more and scrub, then rinse and repeat

 

I haven't used the purple simple green, but that purple power stuff will take off the paint from rims and I've seen it screw up aluminum before…definitely water it down. I think it does leave sort of a white residue on rubber too.
I used to spray it under a muddy truck, let it soak, and then wash off the mud. I used it recently under my hood too.

 

Nathan, are you rims plasti-dip? I forgot. LOL

 

Yup plastidip. They got scrathces from mounting the new tires but I was planning on redoing them anyway. I already bought two more fans a few weeks ago.

 

are you going to just put another coat ro strip and re-apply? I'm thinking about dipping my wheels soon too just for the hell of it. I've had the cans for months now just no time to take them off and spray them.

 

Peel and respray

I put a coarse texture on them last time and while it looks great, it has been a pain in the @$$ to clean. I'm just gonna spray them normal this time.

 

Same here. Cans are collecting dust in my cabinet. Lol I bought 3 cans of matte black and 1 can gloss. I was planning of spraying a heavy layer of gloss just to have a wet look.

 

that's an idea. I think I might go get a can of gloss too.
