Thanks for the responses everyone. I am sober again, drowned my self a little there.

No, the paint isnt scratched. Its like it has 4 perfect stripes of paint remover and the paint has bubbled up. If you touch it, its brittle and has these bubble domes. Total F'n Mystery to me.

No, i dont have intentions to paint myself, but I have an idea. Paint the roof white up to the roof chanels. It would be hardly visible from the street, and it would keep the cab cooler when @ the dunes. The rhino idea is interesting. Why the heavy duty paint? Tree branches?

Thanks. A little severe for just clearcoat delamination though. Ive had that before and it never looked like this. I had a black 91 SHO and the roof shined black like a deer nose. This looks just crazy.

Glad to know noone has seen anything like this before.

That makes the most sense. Im thinking about bringing it to the dealer & asking WTF. Doesn't hurt to make a scene, err ask.

Anyone else see roof damage like this before? I don't want to leave out those on vacation.

Someone had racing stripes on that roof. That looks like adhesive residue that wasn't properly prepped before painting. I love the rihno lining idea. You can get it color matched I think. So you could maybe get white, best of both worlds
