Finally got a return to work date. A few concerns at first but it's 11/5/14.
And i'm finally getting to enjoy the time off. 5 months on crutches pretty much and now I get to enjoy a month actually walking on 2 feet. Feels really, really, really good.

PLanning on going home for 10 days for thxgiving and 2 weeks for CHRISTmas.

 

Good morning guys thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes for my mom. Happy to say she is feeling better, she got to come home today after a week long hospital stay, unfortunately the afib seems to be long term but is being controlled with meds. She's not happy about going from taking 0 meds to being put on 6 different meds for her heart but she understands it is something she had to do.

Glad your Mom is doing better. My gram is the same way. She doesn't like the "here's a pill, it will make you feel better" mentality.

Thanks Rich, yeah that's my moms exact thoughts. she has never believed in taking pills of any kind, would almost have to force her to take ibuprofen or an aspirin.

When my mom went to hospital last year they asked if she was taking ber blood pressure pills.



Found out she never filled the prescription in over 2 years!!

 

wow, how was her blood pressure?

 

My gram has about 7% cartaliage in her left knee. At 90 yrs old, the doc asked if she wanted a replacement, cortisone or gel. She said "I'll just stick with my alieve" thx.

 

lol I have to agree with gram on that one.

Moms doing better now. She got swine flu last year right before Christmas and ended up with pneumonia and having over 2 liters of fluid removed from left chest. About lost her.
I have said we didn't have a Christmas last year but I believe we actually did.

 

Well, Ima puss out early tonight. Therapy in the afternoon.

Eh, he knee is that of her age. Trooper though for dealing with that kind of pain.
