I agree. The retros were nice but stock headlights with good bulbs did pretty well on the Tacoma. That said, I still want projectors on the Ferd :)

Looked at those and they're expensive as all hell! I'd have $1,600 into my headlights if I went that route vs. $200 and half a day of labor if I do it myself. A few models have projectors, not just the Raptor. I did put FX4 tails on my truck because I hated the chrome-trimmed lights and would like to do the same to the front eventually.

I'm sure I'll catch some heat for this.... But.. Everytime I see an FX4 with the appearance package I drool.

That's one of the trucks I considered when buying the tundra. I couldn't justify the price though.

Some of the FX4s I looked at were cheaper than some of the other brand's equivalents.

Agreed. I'm very impressed with the stock lights. I've got projector HID in the Subaru and it's very nice on dark nights, but around town it isn't a huge improvement. Back when I would drive it in rain the HID was useless.

600w of aux front lighting solves any brightness issue on dark roads. :p

I agree on that, they're a few f150 in town with the fx4 but in all black and they look awesome

I agree! I bought used though and ended up finding a good deal on a loaded XLT instead. Only thing I really hated about the F150 styling was the chrome tails so they were replaced not too long after I bought it. I would have liked an FX4 or Lariat for the looks but the XLT comes with all the features I'll ever realistically use.

Typically I don't like own dark colored vehicles but I would get a dark grey or black FX4... They look so nice with black wheels and that flat black stripe coming out of the mirror...

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
    Morning, I'm very tired.
This is how I felt getting out of bed this morning :pout:
It was dark and cool out this morning. The perfect conditions for me to just sleep in with the covers pulled all the way up.

Yeah well I don't have children to care for, so no problems sleeping in here :) Unless you're a crazy bastard like Noel and you're up and out trying to impregnate the tailpipe of your tractor at 4am because Maine
