I would advise y'all to read through this before commenting. Now, with that said.

I'm posting this for the pure fact of enlightening others on the issues that not only I, but others, have had with these bumpers. I received mine from Eddy on monday, got it painted and put on yesterday. Once it was on, we noticed a few things.

    1. The height adjustment tabs on the bottom of the cradle are off, making my bumper sit about 1/4" lower on the passenger side than the driver's side when both are all the way up. This makes it to where you can clearly see the headlight support where-as it should be covered up.

    2. The passenger side wing is bent at a different angle than the driver's side. We measured the wings on the driver and passenger side and they both came out to 32" however, the passenger's side sticks out roughly an inch farther than the driver's side.

    3. The welds on the wings are sub-par in my opinion. For the price these cost, I understand that it is not going to be 100% perfect, but I expect to not have splatter from the welds and pitting holes in the welds themselves. Not to mention that on the driver's side wing, the weld doesn't go all the way around, there is a gap where it isn't welded.

And last but not least, I have contacted Eddy and after exchanging a few messages, I expressed my concerns and since then have been ignored. At this point, I'm not looking for compensation or even it be fixed, I just want others to read this and consider before ordering. Overall, I'm not terribly un-pleased with the bumper, just a few issues that I thought I should share since they seem to be reoccurring in these bumpers.

    (Pictures to follow ASAP)

The welding issues seem to be on going. The crooked wings / faceplate I have seen issues of 2, 1 in person 1 over Internet. I will post pics of the pitting on my bumper as well as the issues with my wings being longer than the other.

Pics of the wing issue pass side vs driver side. Drivers side clearly is more towards the body. Pass side sticks out away from the body. The pass side was measured at 33" long and drivers side is 32" long.

You Know! What's Funny is I Just Told you in the PM That it could be fixed by you sending it back or me sending you a new. Also whats funny that you say I've ignored you. Here I'll post the PMs for you to read again sir.

I know, But theres not much really I can do ATM but advice that you split the difference a lil with the adjuster plates on the bottom.

Any possible fixes? I mean for $700, and obviously a decent history of making these bumpers, I expected something with a better fit and quality. Don't get me wrong, the cradle of the bumper is solid, but in some of the welds on the wings, there's obvious splatter and some pitting in the weld. Plus the passenger wing is bent at a different angle than the driver's side.

The only way That I can fix it is have you send it back then cut it apart and weld back together. By that time It would be cheaper to almost sent you a new one. I cant control 100% of warping. I dont have a 10,000$ jig table like the BIG companies that mass produce these

I understand, but warping of 1/4" steel? That seems a bit ridiculous to me. Just my opinion, but I think that should have been checked before shipping seeing as it would have had to been caused by the heat of the welding.

Eddy, I stated that I simply wanted to let others know of issues that have been seen in more than one case, I even stated that I wasn't terribly unpleased with it. I'm not worried about compensation either. And if you check times, you hadn't messaged me back for more than a few hours while you had been posting on the forums, and then messaged me right after the thread was posted.

I purchased Sliders and a Bumper from Eddy. I had a couple issues but nothing major.

The kickout sliders were ordered as a bolt on kit for a DCLB. Upon installation i noticed none of the holes lined up to the frame. after talking with Eddy it turned out that the person he hired to help him may have welded the wrong frame plates on.
Eddy provided me good and fast customer service and quickly resolved the issue in a manner that I felt was good and fair.

The bumper i received had imperfections that the op stated IE. pitting in some welds, uneven cuts, and not so square fog holes. HOWEVER, these were easily fixed on my end. I didn't even bring those up to him.

He has since got rid of that helper.

I valued his willingness to rectify the situation and his prompt communication.

I WILL PURCHASE FROM HIM AGAIN.

Okay. I did have a hybrid come back and re sent out along with two sets of sliders that were put on the wrong frame plates. They were refunded and one was notified to check fit up before install. I did look back thru my logs and got rid of the help I had welding for me and since then have been doing them myself again.

It's a custom product from a guy working out of his garage. These aren't ARB bumpers that are laser cut and fitted and welded with robots, gotta expect some minor flaws. And yes, 1/4" metal will warp given enough heat. If you wanted a perfect product then buy a mass produced bumper. I doubt anyone else besides you will notice it's off anyway. I mean comon, 1/4" off from a couple feet away will look level to most people with 20/20 vision.
