Thanks, took a long time to find one in red, waited 6 months for one to pop up.

 

Why you no proformance upgrade??

 

I have done a few, although I am more for show than go. This motor isn't the best platform for building real power (seen way to many blown engines on XRU). Had a Caliber SRT4 in between X-Runners and was fun and easier to get high HP numbers but with my 3 year old and 3 other grandchildren, I think I have gotten to old for that and the mod fund doesn't build as quickly as it used to, down to priorities, the TRD supercharger will be the last performance upgrade and will be done on that front.

 

I'd search around, I scooped up my S/c (which was basically new) on CL for $1400, bought a fit kit from the dealer and had it installed in a few hours.

 

I am definitely a Craigslist junkie, on there everyday to try to scoop up a good deal! The next big purchase is going to be a drop, need to compensate for the lift I will get from my larger wheels and tires

 

The motor will build power though but most people don't change out thier piston rods and piston heads... I changed mine out along with 2,000 in forged internals I am getting over 400 horsepower with the 1GR-FE granted its got 15,000 miles on it but still I am getting plenty of power with my stock engine

What are you doing with you old wheel and tires??

 

There are some that have had good luck! But the money to build the 1gr would be better spent throwing an lq4 engine in and really build some serious power or I would dream of having a stock Tundra motor with TRD super charger

The chrome wheels are already gone, used that money to buy why new wheels, waiting for my tonneau cover and sound system to sell to finish paying the tires I have on layaway.

Seeing your truck almost makes me want to convert mine to an X-Runner front end and slam it on 22s.

 

I am happy that my truck can inspire that kind of work. I would like to see it! White X-Runner would definitely be the best!

 

Many have gotten close, but never actually completed... You should check-out XRU. You can join the "PreXRunner" club! LOL

 

There are a few that have crossed the line! And some X-Runners that have gone PreRunner
