Because if you tighten it with no weight when it is weighted the bushing twist which leads to squeaking

Epic machanic fail. On like above, no problem with the arm itself.

Correct, it was installing improperly, like Bamatoy said he had seen the trucks come in his shop with the same problem so it does happen.

This is good info. Thanks all.

When I did mine, I made sure to torque to spec and also used loc-tite, nonetheless, I'll install from the front on the next go-round for sure! It might be a rare occurrence, but "rare" is often enough for something like that.

I checked mine today and loosened and retorqued to 115 ft. Lbs like the FSM torque guides said. Also put a jam/double nut on with loctite

what thread and size is that bolt? im thinking i'll double nut it, but home depot did not have the thread/size that fits (yes I did buy one of every metric size and thread they had in stock to see, haha).

you said double nut, why would you buy one in every size? Take off the factory one and take it to home depot, find a bolt it fits then find anothernut that fits the same bolt in you hand and voila, DOUBLE NUTTIN

IIRC, it was an m14x1.5 thread nut. Just buy several different thread, m14 nuts and see if they fit,but pretty sure it was 1.5thread

HD doesn't have a big selection of metric threads. Prolly have to buy it at the dealer or order one from McMasterCarr. They have everything.

My local stores had them, but yes I've noticed Home depot sucks for carrying metric stuff. I had gone to a Sears hardware
