I feel like there were a crap ton of jeeps. I don't think I saw many tacomas.

Was out there 9/2-9/9! Hah we may have just missed each other. Bombed out from CA the evening of 9/1, into Silverton 9/2-9/4 doing alpine loop, Yankee boy, Imogene then Ophir back from telluride. Then down to durango 9/5, over to Summittville 9/6-9/7, then into New Mexico 9/8 and then drove back to cA 9/9. I wanted to stay longer in silverton/ouray but the threatening flooding forecast helped me get on the road back home. Would love to go back!! Had such a blast. Such beautiful country out there. Have yet to finish uploading my photos

Shit, yeah. Did ya see a white Suzuki V-Strom and a maroon Kawasaki Concours? We covered a lot of the same roads on the same days, even did Yankee Boy and Governor's Basins.

I saw a ton of Jeeps but as many Toyotas - mostly 4Runners, then FJ, then Tacos.

My pics, if you are interested (best to click the link and then select "slideshow" in the upper RH corner, that way the captions are visible):

Newbie here. Bought my Tacoma in June of this year. Took it out camping the first weekend after I bought it at Harrison Lake in British Columbia.

hey everyone. IM trying to find on the web a cover for my taoma that has a camper shell on it. I saw before a cover that had the tailgate down and the campershell opened so there could be more space. if anyone could help that would be great. I only found one but the quality didn't look great. thanks everyone

Do you mean like a soft topper? Or a hard fiberglass shell?

I thought just living in Canada constituted camping? :D

I kid, I kid. What I would give for another two week trip up the Stikine River.

Looking for a small double cot without the bar down the middle or some instructions for DIY cot. Any suggestions?

I can vouch for the Disco Beds.

They are hands down the best Cot system I have ever slept on and it is exactly because they do not have that "supportive bar" that usually ends up taking stabs at your kidneys :)
I use them for camping and when we have guest sleeping over. Everyone that has slept on them agrees on how comfortable they are.

They are amazingly strong and firm, and comfortable despite their look. You can search Youtube for some feedback on them.

Yes....they are pricey but worth every penny.

Thanks for the info on the Disco beds. I plan to buy those for the kids for Christmas. But I am thinking more for the wife and me. She doesn't like the air mattress. Well, she doesn't like being dropped to the ground when I get off it or thrown across the tent when I sit down on it.

In a perfect world I could get a cot that was 45" wide and no more than 80" long. I may have to build something.

I can vouch for the disc o bed system also. Most comfortable cot out there, that I've ever slept on. Bought the XL size this year and had them out tent camping twice, very happy with them.

Another nice thing is you can use both cots yourself if your on a fishing or hunting trip. It's nice to sleep on the bottom cot, and then lay all your stuff out on the top cot. Or just use them as single cots with a partner, they're very versatile and pack down into separate carry cases.
