Justin, sorry about your thread, it's fucked now. But I think you've made your decision. Just drive on and enjoy the dustcloud of this clusterfuck in your rearview mirror. Happy trails!

Yeah, or you can go with skinnies at 255/55 or something like that. I don't much care for the skinny tires though.

Spend it how you want to spend it. Full OME setup has worked perfectly fine for me. Stay on here too much and these guys will poke your wallet and build your truck for you.

You could do Discount tire CC... 12month no interest. Just make sure you pay it off before that 12months is up or else you get effed in the A. That's what I did for my first set of tires and it worked well

    Not that drastic. A 255/85 isn't even 1/2" bigger than a 285/75. Unless you went with a 255/90

I've got the one on the right end but I have to pay it off each month. Main reason I've got it so I can't carry a balance.

    enough to go over stuff

Credit cards are important to build credit. I use them for all my purchases because I had my debit card info stolen once and it sucks when your money is gone. I got it back but it took awhile and was scary. If that happend on a credit card its their problem. I pay my cards off every month and it all works out. Plus I never pay interest and I get 1.5% cash back.

and you know this by experience?

Because in mine a 255/85/16 Interco MT is 33-13/16" tall at 43psi and no load.

Now what do your 285's measure? Last I measured a 285/75/16 it wasn't even 33" tall.

I've never ran them but according to the calculator my 285/75's are 32.83 and 255/85's are 33.07. Not trying to start anything or prove anyone wrong. If I'm wrong then ok, I'm not the type that's gonna argue. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong. Wouldn't the tread type and psi you run vary though? Like one size but different tread pattern? Cause I have 285/75 A/T's running at 30psi
