Calculators are perfect world sizes. Really have nothing to do with real world sizes. For this reason I never trust them. Always better to talk to folks who have them if your running max tires sizes and may have fitment issues. Those calculators are good to get an idea, but not for final measurements.

Some models like KM2's and Interco's MT run large, but Ive never seen a 285 come close to within 1/2" of my 255's in person.

also depends on size... a 255/85/16 KM2 runs large but my buddys 38" KM2's run small... Who knows what the manufacturers are thinking when they make them :notsure:

Wait ... Seriously? You just got here, huh?

Here's my golden rule for my truck, "If I'm happy with it, no one else's opinion matters." It gets easier when you get old and grumpy, like I have, but hopefully you get my point. Do your research and do it your way on your schedule.

And now you've met Scott; he's a Dick, and that's his most endearing quality. The rest of us play along for amusement and out of loyalty. No offense Op; good luck figuring out your lift. The only one that has to happy with it and the schedule you do it on, is you.

Holy moly, this thread went to shit fast. This is the first argument I've seen on TW. Thanks for the amusement. Here's some bible humor to lighten the mood.

What ? I'm not taunting you , you said 255's make 285's look tiny and I pointed out that all 255's and all 285's aren't the same size and then you posted that all 255's and all 285's aren't the same size , not sure what I'm missing
