I would've opted for the tanto but I didn't have a lot of choice considering the deal I got

I paid i think $45 because I got the employee discount at PSA because I was seeing one of the spokesmodels at the time and they only had the 1 blade style in stock

That's about what I figured. Really is so fragile looking I really think that it would snap immediately if I had to cut with a lot of downward pressure on the tip.

I have not had to really clean any knifes. i think it has to do with the fast i use the clip and clip it on my pocket instead of being loose down in the pocket where all the fine lint never seams to get out of. If and when i clean than i just use compressed air like what you clean computers with. sometimes i’ll wash the blade off after i skin a squirrel or use it as a steak knife when all the others are dirty. lol

Its the only folder I've cleaned. It would get gummed up with syrups and lint would stick that way. Once every other year was great.

I have no need for a folder but i really want to find it.

Either normal belt sheath on my right side at 4:30 o'clock or if I feel the need to, scout style in small of my back.

Oddly enough, CA knife law allows carry of fixed blade knives without a blade length restriction but they cannot be carried concealed. I either carry a customized BK14 or a Fallkniven F1.

oh. i like the Trident a lot a bit more than i was thinking of spending. but i think you get what you pay for with MOST knifes. whats the “cutter” or what ever you want to call it for on the back side?
    x2.

For me it makes more sense to have a fixed EDC. It makes everything easier.

The only somewhat difficult thing is the concealment restriction. If I'm somewhere it needs to be low key I carry scout style and it is concealed there. I don't normally carry that way, just when the need arises.

I have 3 sheaths.for the F1, handmade leather, the factory sheath, and a kydex sheath. One day I'll get a new one with TekLok, but for now I have maybe 8 inches of paracord in an X shape and pretty tight, I slide.my belt through the X and it allows me to carry vertical or horizontally. Cheap and effective.

Trident isn't cheap but if you ever are able to handle one, I would. I think its marketed as a seatbelt cutter? Maybe not. I didn't use it except cutting occasional fine rope or similar. That feature didn't get much use since if I needed to cut something I used the knife.

I've never used a seatbelt cutter. Doesn't Benchmade have a folder kinda designed for first responders? It seems legit.

yeah neither have i. but if you have it on you all the time or in the truck. If you got in a wreck of pulled up on one and seat belt wont just unbuckle you can cut it.

I've never seen a need for a seatbelt cutter on a pocket knife...I have a standalone that came with my Gerber LMF and it's designed for heavier webbing than a seat belt...and i've never even used that

Maybe Tigerfan will chime in about seat belt cutters. I'd be interested if he uses one or carries one. Seems like it might be a marketing thing more than it is a great tool to have.
I know some knives have unground and rounded off knife blade tips so you can cut a seat belt without risk of stabbing the person, but again I'm curious what we did before these came along.
I don't recall any LEs I know having a folder on their person, at least with that feature.
