I like the black, but I debadged and removed the TRD stickers. Your truck will still be a TRD if you remove the stickers.

debadged! every car, truck, suv looks better debadged in my opinion. it just looks cleaner to me. the only reason in my opinion anyone would keep badges and stickers is to sort of brag about how much money they spent and what they bought. who needs ugly advertisements? if it is a nice truck, people who actually matter will spot it in a blink of an eye and know you have a bad-aXX truck! hehehehe!

think of the opposite, i parked one day at the store next to a base model sr5, 5-lug, single cab, with non-painted bumpers/mirrors/handles/etc yet it sported TRD SPORT stickers. when i was walking out to my truck he was about to get in his. he kinda looked up for a second and i shook my head and i guess it got his attention, he looked at me and i just said "really dude? really?" and got in my truck. so badges and stickers do not fool anyone in a good or bad way, its the truck that counts :)

just my 2 cents worth :) but everyone has their own likes i guess

I think the front emblem is on there with tabs that are melted to the grill. At least mine was, I know others have been able to take theirs off no problem. Mine was a pain in the ass. I broke it and went the santos hi route

I've used gasoline many times with no issues. Wet a small spot on a rag.
Wipe only the area you want to clean. Wash the area with soap and water when done. Apply wax. Good to go.

your thumbs, LOL! i done propbably 10-12 on my cars over the years and i learned cleaners make a mess and 'slosh' the glue around. for badges, start buy cutting a little of the tape with fishing line, soon as you can pull it up, use your fingues and remove the badge. the tape left on the truck just start rolling it with your thumbs. its like a snowball, hard to get started but then starts rolling easy and leaves clean finish.

(is a little rough on your thumbs though, but quick and perfect)

for stickers, use our old friend the sun, put it out on a hot sunny day then start slowly peeling up the sticker. if its a pain use a little heat from a heat gun (a digital temp controlled gun if you can)

as far as chemicals for the glue, the best i found for glue is 'strike' found it at the dollar store of all places, i even used it to take window tint glue off.

I used WD-40 as well on my Tundra and now my Taco. It's also safe for the paint.

If I removed the badges to paint them, how would I reapply? What type of adhesive would I use? Or would it be sticky enough to just stick it back on?

3M double side tape. get a sheet of it, peel 1 side off and put the badge on it. then use a razor knife and trace the badge, cutting off the excess 3M tape/sheet.

    something like this

Do you take off the stickers the same way you debadge an emblem?

I just peeled mine off, but with your truck being older, it may be more difficult.

For me its all about the color of your truck.
If your truck is a darker color...black them out.
If your truck is a lighter color...debadge.

    Just my taste :)

Heres what I did! I left my left side, and right side TACOMA on, imo they look decent. I removed both Toyota and Tacoma on tailgate and a stupid dealer sticker. (the dealer sticker left a mark that im having trouble getting out =(728D1A13-94AA-4106-8F71-B037F94F6129_zps_a39b429d248c902d3cd1bd5c36ba2daa82f6dde5.jpgCF7A21F0-227A-4112-952F-A1322449190D_zps_ee2c3a5e8f20c3fce8d292a57aafda59f8f91cf2.jpg

fishing line to start cutting the foam, then just peel it slowly with your fingers from different sides. like tug on one side till you feel it start to peel, then the other, etc. too much force will break it.

sorry for :deadhorse: but another question:
Talked to a guy that said he just sprayed the emblem while on the truck and then before it was fully dry was able to peel the dip off the truck and it stayed on the emblem. Anyone else have good luck with this technique?
