The assumption that everyone is the same, has the same needs from their truck, has to the same opinion, and anyone that differs is wrong and needs to be shouted at until they change their mind makes threads like these stupid and divisive.

I marvel at how well my truck works for me, how the seat comfortably supports my back, how well it carries the loads I need to carry, and how I've wanted a small truck since before I could drive. If it got wreaked or stolen I'd be back to the dealer in minutes and buy exactly the same thing, right down to the color. And, I sure as hell am not going to tell anyone else their truck is wrong for them. Toyota in their wisdom recognizes this, hence the variety of different configurations.

Funny stuff. Personally looks-wise my favorite are regular cabs. In just about any truck. I really miss my 82 longbed 4x4 I had in my early 20's, and I had a really nice 91 shortbed too. But dogs, kid, etc. and a regular cab just isn't practical. I do still have one (an 89) but it just plows my driveway and hauls wood around my property. Hasn't been registered since 06. But no way would I give up my double cab for even an access cab. And I have hauled plenty in that stubby little 5 foot bed. Fits in my garage too. Pre-kid I had an 05 access cab and loved it. Really miss the 2.7/5 speed and 23mpg! But those stupid rear suicide doors in parking lots are pain. And they rattle. Better than no doors on a first gen but man after dealing with those with a car seat in the other hand a few times... Sold it and got a double cab.

Had the 2002 DC V6 TRD great truck 90,000 miles 9yrs of great truck no issues ( replaced the battery once & tires once) Wife's bad back had me trade it for a 2012 VW Passat . In 2008 Purchased a 2008 RC (Great truck just to small for me with not enough storage 3 yrs. later 66,000 miles traded it for a 2002 Tundra 4.7 with 51,000 miles (big regret not enough power or pay load to pull my RV .Traded the Tundra in for a 2012 Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi 2500 4X4 to pull my 31 ft. travel trailer (wife drives this truck) Drove the VW back & Fourth to work for 1 yr. .This wasn't for me I needed a truck .In August started looking for a truck to pull my 16 ft aluminum boat so we could go camping & boating making only 1 trip . Wife tows the boat & I tow the RV .
I decided then I didn't want to pay 30,000 dollars for a truck to pull the boat so I purchased the 2014 Tacoma AC SR5 & Love this truck. Plenty of power ,plenty of storage ,longer bed than the DC .ALL the truck I need for what I intend to use it for.
So if this purchase puts me & my 115,000.00 per year salary @ the poverty level so be it .
I purchased the AC cab for specific reasons & am Very happy with my $ 22000.00 truck

Does anyone wish they didn't take so much LSD at age 15 -17. Liquid was clean and good.

I had a full size bed/truck since 2003 and I don't miss it. Opening that stubby backwards access door is a pain in the ass. I like my full size rear door and extra cab space. That's why they make bed extenders, for just in case needs.

Not sure what became of people to openly discuss their finances. Whether you're "upper middle class" or not.
