Well we had barely gotten off the main road past Salmon La Sac and my pass front just suddenly sunk. First initial thought was I lost a bead on the tire but it was full, next thought was LBJ but turned out to be my 5100 snapping near the lower mount. Not cool. Truck isn't drivable having it towed from there to my home in Shoreline. Was going to be a 3-4 hour wait for a flatbed so my girlfriend came out and grabbed me and we dropped a key off at the towing place in Cle Elum and headed home. I would imagine the truck should be here soon....hopefully. Doesn't appear anything else was damaged during the ordeal so I'll get a new strut and get her rolling.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
    Plus the expensive tow.

I'll be ordering new coilovers eventually

Good most of that was shitty beer that I was trying to get out of my fridge! Hopefully someone at my turkey sandwich I so badly wanted while waiting in Roslyn for my girl, also there is a rockstar and an iced coffee in there to power someone up in the morning. I think it was a blessing in disguise actually that this happened, I've had explosive diarrhea from whatever I ate at the M's game last night, that would have probably sucked up there. Have fun guys wish to hell I could've joined you!

Tow should be covered by AAA. So that's great. I've heard that the 5100s are on back order but that's ok the truck can sit for awhile it needed but yes I will be getting icons or something of the like soon. I'm done with the Bilsteins.

Hey the best part is it not failing on the trail.

Will and I shared an interesting day trying to fit a 1st gen body panel on my truck  we got all the way through painting and everything. We go to start installing. Will is saying "I need about an inch back here by the door" while I'm telling him "Im right on the bolt hole, what the hell man?"

 it was such a classic day I loved it. Take it easy tomorrow Will! Thanks for having me!

Just back myself, some decent trails up there for sure, that was a bummer, what's with the bilsteins?
we saw your truck when heading back down at about 7:00pm or so.
We skipped the 4w trails on the way back but where smashing, Aztec, masbup, and I headed back down going 35-40 over football sized rocks and down the potholed gravel roads haha. Gotta say my icons held up like champs even though I aired back up to 30 psi before heading down (too much air!)

truck now has 1700 miles and 5 offroad ventures under it's belt.
I've got scrapes underneath, scratches down the sides and right now mud all over, mixed feelings.

Well my 4Runner just now made it home. AAA doesn't cover if the vehicle is off a "maintained road" so they charged me $300 to hook it up and take it to pavement and from there on out AAA covered it, which is horseshit but I guess it's better than the $700-800 it would have costed with no coverage.

And it's certainly better than if you would have broke down up one of those trails. Still kinda shitty they charged so much.

We started with 10, then the 4runner shock issue happened and a couple guys headed back with him so 7 hit the trails
