Kinda like sliders, I don't know why people would do bolt on sliders.

As long as the crumple zone still crumples then welding it on would have minimal change me thinks.

Years ago when I was talking to my metal smith/forger friend about sliders he said that bolt on sliders would most likely be stronger than welded on for a couple of reasons. :notsure:

Granted he freely admits he doesn't know much about 4-wheeling but he does know his shit about metals/welding/etc

I like it so far, I've never had anything this fancy so it's going to take some getting used to on my part.

Not really getting how this is different than welding sliders on (just did that, well on one side lol), or gusseting the frame, or a flat bed, or a tube bed, or anything other than a stock frame.

    Exactly! Angle grinder FTW.

Maybe if the bolt on sliders mounted on both sides of the frame, otherwise I'd disagree.

    I like how you think...

    Trust me.

    Wouldn't do it

True, but one of the offroad shops here does it all the time. Race trucks, offroad rigs, stock rigs with winches etc all have welded on bumpers.

Anyways... Did this side today. They stick way out. Not sure I like it. Maybe after I get some rims or spacers it will look better.

Is that kickout/kickout part sticking out below the front of the slider?

I got them from a local member who never put them on... I would have just gotten the straight ones.

Weren't they originally for a 2003 as well? That may have something to do with it. Looks like you just need to cut down the legs a bit.
