    Morning all
Charlie, you were right. I was able to loosen the head bolts with a 1/4 inch socket and ratchet. But untill I had the specs I couldn't tell if it was ok or not.
    NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
After I replaced the gasket I tried to loosen the head bolt with the same setup.
Nope. I think if I blew a nut I could have but they were definitely all loose.
Runs mint. No oil out the fuel pump breather after 30 min. So I think he lucked out.
NOW HE OWES ME BIG TIME...... HEHEHEHEHE ROFLMAO.
It was a fun change of pace for me. I don't have fun working on shit to much anymore.

Going to get the bike out this afternoon and burn a few miles.
    Fishing tomorrow.
Welcoming all new people to the porch. I've been heavily focused on electrical puss cases at work and getting organized for other things so I haven't been reading here as much.
So time for lunch and plunk my ass for a few hours.

:woot: for a happy outcome on the motor Mike!

And :woot: :woot: for ass plunking followed by a bike ride.

... for a good day fishing tomorrow! Sounded like you needed a good recovery weekend and you're getting it. Happy for you my friend! :)

Just woke from my morning nap ... Time for coffee, then get on with the moose processing. Have a great weekend all. :oldglory:

:smash: Ugh. Spent all day at the keyboard. Started out by clearing up a few work-related items, then on to paying bills, getting household paperwork arranged and archived, putting appointments into the calendar that dings at me, on and on it went. I'm wiped out and I have hardly gotten out of my chair. So much for my plans to get the yard work done today so I could play tomorrow! :annoyed:

I'm almost too worn out to go find some obligatory emoticons, but I like you folks too much for that, so here goes. I had a :sandwich: earlier but I'm still [IMG] so I think I'll go make some dinner, with the help of a [IMG].

So, here I am in sunny (or not so sunny S. Carolina). I'm on what I call vacation, but when you're retired, it's actually just doing similar stuff in a different location.

Friday a week ago. When we didn't go back to Chicken for caribou last Thursday, since we were already scheduled for leave, we went moose hunting closer to home (Montana Creek over by Talkeetna). Drove in and set up camp Thursday evening, in the rain . Found a legal spike fork bull about 15 mins after we started hunting Friday morning. Randy called him in. :). We came out Saturday and the quarters have been aging in Randy's garage all week while we worked. It's best to age the quarters like beef as long as you can keep them cool.

64 vette. Very nice. I had several 67 chevelles. First was stocker 283 2spd 2 brl. Last one had 396 turbo 400. Kinda miss those old cars but I was single with no mortgage and got into a lot of trouble in em.
