I was closing out the fueling log for one of our JET-A refuelers at the end of my shift today and an odd thing happened. The total gallons pumped came to 343. Sheer coincidence or reminder?...

May God Bless America. Our Troops, Fire, EMS, Police, and great citizens.

It is truly sad that a few twisted minds can affect so many lives, and all for what? And still some people in America live everyday, ignorant to what soldiers do for our county daily. Ignorant to the wars in our own country that police fight daily. These are the people that would do anything to swerve from a draft, and would refuse to fight for their own rights and the rights of their country's citizens.

Respect those that risk their lives to better the lives of others. Respect those that do anything to better the lives of others. Mourn for those who lost their own lives in 9/11, and those that lost loved ones in 9/11.

I don't know what got into me, that got real serious real fast. God Bless.

I was in my class. My teacher announced to the class what was going on. We turned on the TV and it was crazy. We were released from school early to be with our families.

Very true... some can't even properly identify which year the attacks took place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bGaf_GSGnc

And you're right they have no idea, inclination, or concern for the price of their freedom.

The attached photo is not any sort of propaganda, it is the cold hard fact of what freedom costs and it has been made crystal clear my co-workers and I. We have received, to date, twelve of these flights. I can still hear the families cries when ever I am reminded of the flights... in fact watching the HBO film "Taking Chance" struck a nerve which brought uncontrolled tears no matter how much I tried to hide them. :(

I shall continue to carry a place for the fallen in my heart the rest of my days. ~ God rest your souls for you are not forgotten, for it is my duty even when all others cease to remember.

    Lots.
    My story:

5th grade (I'm now a freshman in college). Ms. Redmiles class science class. I wanted to go to the bathroom but she wouldn't let me, said she had something to tell the class. Looked at the clock it was 10:24. She told us that planes had been flown into the towers. I didn't even know what they were at the time but knew it couldn't be good.

I don't think I will ever remember something so vividly.

Thank you to all those you have served and serving. I will be among you someday.

Currently in Afghanistan working the ER where the combat casualties come in off of the birds. I've seen some things that no one should have to see, but I remind myself everyday why we are here...

To the fallen you will be remembered...
To the fighting few, give em' hell...
