One of the best uses for those tie downs in the bed track. Mount off Amazon, about $10 of hardware from Home Depot. Good to go.

Had a free Toyota bagel (or3) while I had my tires rotated for free at Gateway Toyota in Toms River, NJ, and then installed my $9.00 Harbor Freight cargo net for a college move-in in upstate NY tomorrow morning. Life is good.

Just went over the 500-mile mark today....broken-in and now I can find a lonely stretch of road and slowly open this thing up and blow some carbon out! :)

    Add a CB!

Big thanks to tomtom for loaning his SWR meter. Even right after getting it tuned up I heard a really, let's say "interesting" conversation, haha.

Attached a couple pics. Of course I forgot to take a pic of it with the antenna on before I parked under my carport, but imagine a 4ft firestik on a spring right above the quick disconnect.

I put the connection on the back of the little tray to the right below the steering wheel. It's tight, not sure if I like it there, but I suppose it will work for now. Wiring ended up being a little easier than expected, I ended up poking a hole in some wiring that comes up by the drivers seat and running it under the door (sill?) plastic (yes, that's near an air bag sensor, disconnect the battery!).

The antenna happens to fit perfectly lengthwise between the upper and lower seats in the back of the DC too. It all came together perfectly!

Yeah, lol. I've seen them for the fender flares and I like those but I'm not changing out my flares so I can have those. If I change them out then its gonna be for glass with 4" flares. Is there a specific lug key for those or just wrench them on?

    Some really cool shit
Having only had my new truck for 26 days there aren't many things I've done to it. It came with a 3" lift kit and nice tires and wheels, along with Predator Bars. First thing I did was remove the TRD Off Road decals on the rear quarter panels. Yesterday I put in Weather Tech mats. Today I added the bug deflector. Little low on cash after the initial purchase so be a while for the next big thing. This site is dangerous as hell. So many cool rigs to look at and get ideas from.

Out the dealership door it looked like this.

Weather Tech mats. Now officially used.

Tuesday I get the bed cap installed.

Its an EXTRA LONG 19mm 1/2" drive. I took my 19mm craftsman Deep Sockets in impact, 6pt and 12pt. Then a couple random brands like duralast, and others. Didn't even touch the top part of the lug surface area for removal. i even wiggled out the 1/2" drive wrench to see if I could convince it to touch the removal surface area. Was down to 1/4", then 1/8" of the drive in the socket. NOPE. So yeah. They made these security lugs by the inaccessibility of the lug nut surface area. Sitting there with a 19mm wrench trying to remove these would take a really long time.

Now if someone was trying to steal them, with an off the shelf solution, I could see using a 19mm socket with the back of it being a 6 sided socket on the exterior. You know, like how they do the spark plug sockets. Then putting another socket over the 19mm back end and using a breaker bar.

    Like the end of this.

With the wheels I invested in, you would really stand out. Especially in my area. These are not something many people have ever seen. So if they showed up for sale somewhere, they would be spotted quickly.

This pic is the 19mm socket.

I'll do a side by side in a sec.

Well that's good to know then and that's a big ass lug key, lol. They do seem like they would stick out quite a bit though once installed. I'll just have to wait and see pictures.
