It wasn't for me. I still have a slight shudder on take-off. Haven't installed the street tacos carrier drop yet though. Hopefully that will take care of it. If not, it's going up for sale.

When I did the carrier drop I flipped the bracket. Is drops it but not as extreme as originally designed. I read about it in here. Maybe try that.

The only vib I have is that my tired aren't balanced, but it'll be done Tomm.

I read about that. I might try flipping it aroung. I just like the extra support that the bracket offers. The spacers that come with the kit just seem like they make it flimsy.

This is it in the regular position. I don't see what flipping it does. Anyone care to explain.

I had the same issue with the slight vibration then flipped the bearing and the vib went away.

Nice truck here bud, I am thinking of getting it. So the front of truck, there is the lower sub-frame assembly piece, they say that grinding and welding involved?? Am I right here, a rookie here. And that it takes away from your clearance underneath there....Have you had clearance issues!! thanks.

So I hear so much crap from people that this lift doesn't give the clearance and whatnot that a regular 3 inch lift gives... That it's prone to getting hit off road...
Has anyone really had any problems running this off road?
And what leaf pack do you need to fit the lift in the rear so you don't have to run blocks?

I just spent the last ten minutes explaining the differences on my phone and it froze.
Not going to do it again the answers are out there go do some research.

Ok a lift is subjective and every lift has its benefits and pitfalls and the lift you choose will be based on your own needs and expectations. When people talk about lifts and how much clearance is gained are they talking axle hight or maybe frame hight but your comment sounds like its differential hight you want to know about.
Lets start with the rear as this is easy for everyone to understand
A 3" lift up to 300" will not raise the hight of your rear differential this can only be achieved by taller tires and to allow taller tires you need more lift.
Now the front whether 3" up to 6" the hight under the axle remains the same and the only way to gain more is the same as the rear taller tires.
The differential hight will go up with a 3" but it will also put more stress on the cv axles which may cause premature failure or leakage.
The RCD, Fabtech or other DB lifts are designed such that your cv angles remain as close to stock as possible allowing taller tires. The DB lifts may raise the center of the truck or your differential but the DB also takes some of this away where the 3" doesn't.
As far as hitting yes the BD can hit stuff just like my FJ with the TC long travel and same size tires as my tacoma hit shit all the time and anyone that does any off roading besides fires roads hits shit and that why theres armor and factories back east making replacement parts everyday.
Do i worry about hitting my BD on a rock? no just like i don't worry about a rock hitting anything else under there, now do I go slamming at full speeds into these rocks? no and it doesn't matter what vehicle I'm in I try and pick the best line and keep going forward.

Thanks for your answer man. I did some research and found basically what you said but not as in depth so your answer helped explain things more.

No problem if you need any more help just ask.
My first attempt was actually longer and more in depth but after the phone freezing issue I decided to shorten it and get to the point.
There are so many variables when it comes to lifts and off roading needs that will vary from person to person

I had the same experience with Alcan.
Promised 3-4 weeks and waited over 2 months and was told lies over and over again.

That being said.. I am happy with the springs.
I wouldn't order from them again though.

I've had my eye on this thread for quite some time now. I'd like to pull the trigger on this lift however I'm left scratching my head wondering why some guys say they can fit 33x12.5 with no issue at all and then you have another say they rub with 295/70 and have to trim some. It seems to me that most say they have 4.5bs so I have no clue what the differences could be unless they're mistaken on the bs they have.

The ones I've seen running 12.50s either cut their cab mounts or get adjustable UCA to increase their caster so they won't rub.
