DC Owners, do you wish you had an AC/RC?

I just replaced a 10 yr. old single cab 2004 Tacoma 2.4L with a 2015 Tacoma DC. Wife wanted a Tundra; I have always liked the Tacoma's. I can't speak for yrs. prior to 2015, but we looked at both the 2015 AC and 2015 DC. The AC had these tortuous looking jump seats in the back and nothing useful in the center of the rear section.

I have a big dog and the wife likes to shop, so for us, the DC was what we needed. The AC looked better at one time, but not for 2015. The only thing I miss is the 6ft. bed. I get around that by cutting the brush a ft. shorter.

 

Why not get the DC LB? Best of both worlds.

I looked at the DC model - long bed.

One of the reasons I didn't get the Tundra(aside from my preference for Tacoma) was the length of my car port. The '15 std DC truck is 17 ft 4 in long. It fits in my car port length-wise.....barely.

The Tundra and DC Tacoma long bed would be hanging out the front. I wanted to be able to shield the truck as much as possible. Occasional hail storms in my area.

I'll learn to live with a 5 ft. bed.

 

That's funny. I own a 2014 4 Runner SR5 2WD. It's a pavement princess like my new '15 Tacoma - both 2WD,
