Going thru the invoice with a fine tooth comb, there is a line item where for every Toyota sold we are funding their marketing budget. Ran this down with the VP of the Larry H Miller group for the answer.

The dealer does the same. Normally the dealer would place a large sticker on the tail gate. My truck was without the dealer advertizing as they knew it would be a deal breaker. When the truck got home I pulled the Toyota badges keeping it clean.

That's pretty cool, never seen a Tacoma used for patrol before, except beach lifeguard duty. The local Sherrif dept out here has Jeep Wrangler Rubicons, they use on the nearby State Park areas, kind of weird to see but cool at same time.

Fog light anytime mod! I love it. Works really well when I use it and buys me some time on not getting any LED's.

Exactly, out here the dealer puts a stupid, advertisement placard where your license plates normally go. I pulled all that crap off as soon as I got it home, they didn't give me a super smoking deal, although it was fair. And they aren't paying me to drive around with it on there until my real plates come on.

Never understood why in other states though, it seems like the dealers try to paint on, or install what looks like a riveted or permanent emblem with their crappy advertisement. If your lucky, you got no advertisement or a sticker that easily peels off.

    Relocated the TPMS reset button.
On my year model it was right above feet.
I hit it a few time with my feet. So I relocated it to keep from breaking it off.
I've NEVER had any service ask where it it is. Not even Toyota.
    I've never used myself.

It was either adding a longer hose to the AC drain tube, or putting the heat shrink rubber tubing over the hood support rod end.

The L.H.M. American Toyota vinyl lettering was the first thing that came off.

The pictured truck is my personal truck, the lights/siren are used for volunteer fire response between my house and the station or scene, as needed. Fairly common in Ohio, actually.

I was just being silly posting it, since I figured it was not a very common mod in the sea of Ultragauges, lifts, and so forth.

There is actually a picture floating around on here somewhere of a 4WD Tacoma working in the California mountains as a ranger / patrol truck.

Put in a Kenwood headunit and 8" shallow powered sub. The sound quality and head unit on a stock 2011 is really terrible! Ordered that stuff the day I bought the truck.

Took the dealer plate frames and stickers off within an hour of owning it, but that's not really a "mod." Left the TRD stickers and Tacoma badges.

I removed the bed stickers that some people on here feel it will no longer be a TRD if you remove.
