    I have updated the OP with new info :)

    I also get questions about the black stuff on the provided stainless hardware.
    I spray them with a light coat of dry moly to prevent galling. Its the same thing as moly grease without the mess ;)

    I really like the idea of this and the location, and the clean look of the rear, but I am concerned about the wiring harness falling out after a bumpy ride in the new position. Is/will there be an issue with this?

    I am not sure as I have never towed anything before. I would also be concerned about the harness dragging on the ground if you tow off road. If I did have to tow something very often, I'd probably put it back into its original position. It's very quick to go back and forth between positions. If you do tow often and off road, I'd relocate to the bumper either in one of the tag light holes, or next to the licencen plate.
    I think even inverted tho, the rubber seal would hold it in place as long as your wiring is not real long or heavy.
