WOW, 5 minutes ago it was not yet on the VIN entry site but now it is.

It's apparently going to be some time though before you will actually be able to get your springs worked on.

Toyota recalls 690,000 Tacoma pickup trucks for possible corrosion in rear suspension system; Toyota not aware of incidents due to problem - @CNBCnow

The above makes me think that if the springs are not corroded then perhaps you won't be getting new ones.

Flat? Heck, I'd take flat. If I pull my airbags and aal off, my springs are inverted.

And y'all were thinking of bad names to call the OP. shame shame.

I had a brand new Wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal on them. Will be interesting if I'm included and go to give back the old springs... I'm not removing the aal.

Going to drop the tank and give us a 10gallon one that will fit without being impaled. :D

I'd make them give me an owners manual that was correct for the tank size if that was he case. Not just one that is "corrected" by the service manager, but one that is a new printed one with correct capacities.
I had an issue with the springs on my '40 turning and smacking my tank (left a nice dent in it). I ended up taking 1/8" steel plate and forming it around the springs to keep them in place. Toyota will probably do something stupid and cheap like that.

I asked when I called and the guy said this was just a preliminary to the recall. He said they were unsure at the moment what is all going to be needed for the fix, but all trucks will receive upgraded parts

The dealer I go through for the recalls has no clue what I'm talking about. Lol

Why did they not include the 2012-2014 models? The 4-leaf revision was done mid-year 2014, and prior to that they still used the 3-leaf.

Was something revised in 2012 to prevent the possible puncturing of the gas tank?

Those of us that replaced the insufficient springs on our own dime after arguing with toyota that the springs were insufficient for the truck, after warranty expired, are we just f@#$ed?

If everyone that hasn't broken yet are getting new springs, I want the money I paid for new springs back!
