The immediate benefit to this is that you'd likely forget about any knee related pain.

One significant drawback that I can think of would be intense pain in the groin area.

This thing used to be a samurai with rockwells on it. It looked pretty hilarious but the thing never came close to rolling because it was so bottom heavy but he eventually changed the body.



Wish I still had some pics of it in it's old stage, but it pretty much looked like this.

 

You can find Toyota crawler projects all day on CL

 

All kinds of '86-'97 options on Craigslist for under $5000. Even a '91 4Runner if that's your cup of tea. Most need some work, but are probably way better options than a banzai-mobile.
