Okay I don't feel so bad then. If was 285's for $500 that would be pretty crazy.

I got one guy who is good with $700 but he hasn't had enough free time to meet this weekend, maybe tomorrow he can. But I agreed to $660 with a guy who said he would come over tomorrow but he hasn't confirmed that he's coming yet. I don't really care over $40 so whoever can pick them up first gets them.

question on suspension. I do mostly on road driving, occasionally off road sandys area mokes etc etc to go fish. other than going fishing spot to fishing spot truck stays on road

will fox 2.0 or camburg 2.0 coilovers do me good?
will I be better off going ome?
will I regret not going icon fox camburg 2.5?

only looking to get 2" of lift MAX. I have no reason to go higher, 265/75/16 will be the biggest tire I go. looking to make my decision before black friday/cyber monday sales

I would say just go with upgraded struts, no need cool overs. You probably wouldn't get your money's worth out of them.

yeah I was gonna go 5100 and eibach or ome springs....BUT ive done the whole car thing drop springs then coilovers and it is night and day. car and truck tho so im assuming its not a big difference in a truck.

yeah seen those but im assuming its gonna be top $$$$...thats my thinking also, spend the money now vs going thru them in stages. but like I said car vs truck lol...the car you are always on the street trying to do stupid stuff vs the truck which will hardly see offroad conditions. we shall see tho. gonna wait for some sales and if I can cop some icons for under a grand then ima go for it. if not ima go another route. my only concern is I really wanna stay around 2" of lift and nothing higher

My only concern with those coil over options you mentioned is that they're rebuildable. Don't know if anyone one oahu does rebuilds, so expect to ship them out for that...plus at the end of the day, youll have rebuilt shocks.

But if you're set on 2", that's hard to get without adjustibility. I'd suggest taking a look at toytec ultimate lift kit...they use 5100 Billies.

that's the route I went - 5100's all around, OME 885x, and Icon AAL. I guess I could've done coilovers, but I don't think I would've done them justice, since my time is pretty limited for off-road adventures. maybe when my daughter is older and it's time for upgrades... :D

on another note, did anyone hear anything about this?

I know for a fact he can't get them for $700. I paid $900 for mine and that was the whole sale cost of the tires no mark up to the store. And the E-rated is even more expensive.

Awesome!!! But I bet now you're thinking a few more wouldn't be a bad thing
I was thinking maybe he is military from the mainland and looking at whatever price on Amazon even though any place other than Amazon won't ship to Hawaii. But I can't find them that cheap on amazon, tirerack, or discount tire lol!
That would be me. 285/75R16 Duratracs with less than 15k miles on them, 14/32 tread (covers more than half a penny) and never had any patch or plugs. No BS $650 and I can meet you today. Got a few guys okay with $700 but trying to meet up with them is turning out to be a pain.

Had a second guy just tell me Goodyear is running a sale this week, $723 for the 285's Load E before mount/balance and tax. I can't find anything, did anyone else see this sale?

when they have these sales sometimes it requires you to use the "goodyear cc" I THINK..so pretty much gotta apply for the cc or something to get the "full" discount

Okay the guy said you have to buy the tires online from goodyear and signup for their credit card. I'm gonna check but I told him I bet that's before shipping.
Yeah it's a CC thing. I wonder if it's like the Amazon CC where they take a month to approve you so you miss the special price.

ah...look at it this way. If it was such a great deal he would've signed up for it. He probably doesn't want or can't qualify for another CC. I would just wait for your amount. I know I wouldn't want another CC on my credit just for tires. Cause you have to wait 2+ years before you can close the line of credit or it will adversly affect your credit score.
