He's had NFL head coach jobs offered. The eagles offered him before Kelly and he turned them down. There were others too. I don't think it's about the money for him though.

You'd need a quarterback with tons of potential that he can piggyback and then take the credit for...

At least he'll go back to being a shitty coach instead of a shitty analyst. SMU is a perfect fit for him.

We don't have that. Well, maybe our 2nd string.

Anybody who thinks Ole Miss has a chance against Alabama this weekend is retarded. Ole Miss doesn't beat Alabama. Ever. This will be the 32nd game the teams have played since I was born, and Ole Miss has won three. THREE.

1988: We were actually a decent team that year. Ended up 9-3 (4-3 SEC) and #20 in the AP poll. This is the ONE game in my lifetime when Ole Miss beat a decent Alabama team. It was (and remains) the Tide's only loss to Ole Miss in the state of Alabama in the history of football.

The other two times were against teams quarterbacked by now two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning... And came when Alabama was down... Really down:

2001: Alabama was 7-5 that year (4-4 in the SEC) - Coach Fran's first year, and the year after Dubose was fired for going 3-8 with a pre-season #3 team... (and even that 3-8 team beat Ole Miss.)
2003: Alabama was 4-9 that year (2-6 in the SEC) - Coach Shula's first year

There's a REASON we say "Still Ole Miss." It doesn't matter how highly they're ranked, or the hype surrounding them, they're STILL OLE MISS.

I'm sick of hearing about them. I'm sick of hearing about Bo Wallace. He's a clown.

Alabama will roll in Oxford. We always do.

Those are some crazy stats! Still, for the sake of shit-talking and, as unlikely as it may be, I wanna see the Tide fall :stirthepot:

To be fair, we weren't given a shot to beat LSU. I don't think Ole Miss has a chance in this game this year, especially with Sunshine at qb, but winning streaks do come to an end eventually.

Shit talk away, broseph! That's what makes this fun.

I've really set myself up for a shitstorm if Ole Miss pulls the upset, huh?

Quoting myself to add something else I realized after I finished. (Edited the original, too.)

So, as I said, Alabama lost to Ole Miss in 2001 at Oxford. It was Coach Fran's first year, and Eli Manning was the QB.

The year before (2000) was my freshman year at Alabama. We had just won the SEC in 1999, and we were pre-season #3 in the nation. (Imagine how excited I was coming in as a freshman...)

Coach Dubose resigned bofore the season ended that year, because we went on to win just 3 games

AND ONE OF THEM WAS OLE MISS.... 45-7

    #StillOleMiss

I hope they lose every game that remains on their schedule, but it's interesting to think that the Egg Bowl might mean something if both Mississippi schools are as good as advertised. That being said, I hope Bama beats them 500-0
