yeah, 500 seems WAY too much for it, but I do bet its pretty slick.

 

$500 for a GoPro that, as far as I can tell, can only do two things my 3+ can't. 30fps @4K and Bluetooth built in. Both of which will make the battery last even less than the terribly low 1.5 hours mine lasts anyways haha

I do like the GoPro over all others though, so many more features.

I'm sure it's better then just those two things. I'm am sure the video and audio quality is better...not that audio matters with these damn things...but I still bet it produces better video.

Worth it for you to upgrade? Hell no

But for all the gopro 3s about to appear on the market..be worth getting another one haha

I'm thinking the go pro black is probably aimed more at professionals/ballers with a ton of money. It's like nikon and canon have entry level cameras DSLRs, then mid level and then pro level. Let's be honest, unless you are a pro (or trying to get insta famous) who needs 4K.

And you're right, I honestly don't see a need for me to film over 1080p

If I win another coupon I'd buy a second one though.

 

get the 3+ at a minimum. way longer battery life and better pic quality

Eh, battery life was better on my GoPro 3. But, my 3+ does have a sharper picture...

 

haha its the easiest way to let anyone film anything.

its actually really annoying at the ski hill to see hordes of tweens with go pros strapped to their head, and they are all filming themselves and eachother. the only problem..is they all suck ass. like they are filming themselves scraping down a blue run.


honstly im starting to move past the go pro thing, now i just want a real video camera for everything except high risk activities like rafting and pov skiing

 

i dont know how. our 3+s always last twice as long as the 3s on the same settings

 

My 3+ only lasts about 1-1.5 hours at 1080p/30fps

My original 3 would do around 2 hours with both 1080/30fps or 720/60fps.

 

I didn't really plan on buying a gopro until I got a coupon haha

 

I won't be getting a 4. No features that I want.

They really need to stop adding random features and actually get this thing to have longer battery life. It's ridiculous.

 

I have a feeling their going to start shooting themselves in the foot if they start to do like Apple. Here's a Hero 4! Oh wait you just bought one? Here's a 4+? And 3 months later, omg here's a 4+s! And only change one minor thing.

 

No, they'll still sell a ton. Just like Apple... Haha

What they are able to bring together into such a compact product is awesome, and much better than any of the others out there. But, like you said, they're getting a big head...
