Plan is to take tailgate off, take the plastic off to open it up, pound out the dent, then touch it up. Not looking for perfection but looking to reduce the attention it draws now. We will see I guess. Worth a shot since its only $15 bucks

Ok so let's say you took your cabin filter and pressed a dryer sheet into the folds of the air filter...think it would block the airflow too much or at all? It might make the truck smell laundry fresh and maybe you could just pull out the sheet when it's dirty and replace that instead of the whole filter. Maybe I'll just try it. I'm bored and thinking out loud. Sorry.

 

Lots of people do this. I hear it works decent. If i had dryer sheets id try it myself but i just ran out. was actually just thinking about this today. Apparently home depot and lowes sells air freshener sheets for home AC filters that work pretty good and are only like 2 or 3 bucks for a pack. Im guessing they work alot better since they are more high strengh to work for a whole house. not sure if it would be too strong for the truck though but im gonna try it soon

i normally take 1-2 boxes from the soap dispenser from my parents laundry mat and leave the seats under the seats covering the floor vents...so when the ac or air hits the bottom some how it leaves a good sent.

 

it works!!! the sheet I used barely covered half of it if I pushed it into all the folds. so I just did a few folds to keep it in place and it works pretty decent. smells great! When I get a new filter i'm gonna go crazy with it and cover every inch on the top side.
