Mine weren't either. They still changed it.

 

They should have an official report by Wednesday, at the latest. It was all over t.v last night, for some reason, safety maybe.

Yeah, but I have Dakars on. I would have to install the old leafs, take it in and then put the Dakars back on.
Plus, someone on here was going to need my leafs, maybe
More of a hassle for me at this point.

It would be awesome if they let me take the old leafs in and get a new set.....for freeeeeee

 

That was one of my thoughts, on how to get this recall done.

I am wanting to wait for more official information to come from Toyota.

If worse comes to worse, I will bring them back with me when I go down for Thanksgiving, and try every dealer on the way here

 

On a different note......are the benefits of taking the sway bar off that great? Anyone here know?

 

I might paint my badges this weekend and remove ky sway-bar. I am desperate to do something in this bland city. I really don't want to mask all around the truck though.

 

If that recall replaces the leaf pack I would be happy about it. I have the wheelers 3 leaf pack added to mine so that only put me at 6 leafs. Maybe I'll get four from them this time! I'd be ok with taking it out to get new springs and putting it back in, will definitely keep an eye out for this.

 

I will most likely put my old pack in.........I mean, it's a new pack, for freee. I am away from home so it just makes it more difficult for me. Who doesn't like free things?

If I put my old pack in, I will have to put the blocks back in to be level. I wonder if this will void the recall for me

Swap the leafs. Trailer it in. Have them fix it. Ride off into the sunset.

$1,000 for both sides....and that is at a DISCOUNTED price.....efff yeah, i'm getting that recall done.
That does nkt even include labor, just imagine paying out of pocket.

 

I could sell them....not at that crazy price though.

 

You should be able to do it at any dealer. I had 4 recalls/tsb/replacements done at Philpott, but I bought it from Fred Hass in Spring.
Toyota refunds the dealership for things like this.

I am planning to get it done at Fred Hass..because I think Philpott is annoyed with me, plus Hass is cooler.
