    My dad (Vietnam Vet) actively volunteers to go on these Honor Flights as the older vet's guardian (each WWII vet is assigned a 'guardian'). I want to say he's been on at least 10 trips so far.

    My wife's grandfather is heading to one next month. He is looking forward to it. Although, he said he hopes he doesn't even catch a glimpse of a politician. He might be coming home in handcuffs.
