I just can't wrap my head around 8 MPG. Even with all the weight I have on my truck, 35's and stock gearing I was 14 city and 20 highway...

Ohio also gets all the shitty gas from all the other states so it doesn't help. I also race cars and karts so my lead foot doesn't make it better lol

Nah, once you have 2 air lockers you'll be glad you went this route.

I'm gonna run either a spool or auto locker in the front and just let my steering not be as good.. Got a Jeep friend with a front auto locker and he hasn't had a problem on the trails we've been running lately.

Do you think I'd be fine with throwing in some 4.88s for now then eventually the locker or just save for both at once?

If you know you want the lockers, save and do it all at once. No point in paying more for install and labor/do more labor.

I say save for both.. It's pointless to have to pay for installation twice and go through the work twice. Most places (around here at least) install a locker for free if their doing a R&P install b/c it's not anymore work. Buy once, cry once!
