Toyota has been talking with Cummins about getting the same Cummins the Titan is slated to get. The test mule titans have been running around for well over a year now and a little bit of co-development has taken place. It'll be interesting to find out how it all plays out because Nissan and Cummins have formed a sort of alliance.

2016 the Frontier is getting a Cummins diesel. The fully working test mule has already been driven by the press and they like it (fully working test mule meaning an actual 2014 frontier with the cummins 4 cylinder, not the diesel runner show truck).

Since you seem to be missing out on toyota news...the sports car being heralded as the next generation Supra, the FT1 is being co-developed with BMW. The chassis and carbon reinforced body panels are rumored to be coming from BMW, BMW already built their own carbon fiber factory because they want the best quality control for their carbon parts; the FT-1 will get a toyota hydbrid drivetrain.

Toyota has already released(like a few months ago) that the 2016 tundra is getting the same 5.0 v8 cummins.

Because it was supposed to be the rebirth of the corolla. But I do agree they should've made the replacement supra more affordable

no problem. but yeah news has been out for a while now.

yeah people complain about not having a 3rd gen taco yet. but look how long the ranger was around and how very little it ever changed. Also i think it is over due but till now look at how little the mid size (new) truck market has been for a few years? you have toyota, nissan, and i guess technically honda. but thats not a truck IMHO. he taco still out sells them by quote a bit. ford stopped making the ranger and probably wont be back in the mid size truck market. dodge stopped the dakota, chevy stopped the canyon/colorado for a few years) so the market has been pretty small for a few years now, with no real competition.
i saw a thread that had info on toyota taco test mules seen towing and stuff. if they are tru i’d say 2017 we will see a new gen taco.

I agree. Same time Nissan debuts a new Frontier. The Nissan Navara (world midsize, much like the Hilux) debuted earlier this year and has been selling like hotcakes. Until now the frontier and navara haven't ever split apart. I actually like the NP300 and would purchase one.

BTW taco sales have been dropping arn average of 6% per month over last years numbers, nissan frontier sales have increased about the same.

Since the Colorado and Canyons have started hitting dealers (shipping date from the plant started on the 18th of Sept I believe) we should see a decrease in sales from the only two midsized trucks currently for sale (taco and fronty). I've already priced a colorado out and it was around 36K for a CC Z71 with navi, so the pricepoint they hit should be favorable with buyers who are cross shopping.

Raider is long gone. The ridgeline is crap.

The Suzuki was a frontier with a different front end and s suzuki badge on the steering wheel instead of a nissan one.

yeah i have not read the number since like spring of this year, not really surprised that they are dropping. yeah they will drop more when dealers start getting the colorado’s in. 36k seams like a lot you can get a full size for around that. ridgeline is POFS. that in bed trunk is stupid IMHO, also makes getting to the spare tire harder imo, especially if you have stuff loaded in the bed.

None of these midsizers are particularly good looking trucks all around (that is my opinion), but the Suzuki was pretty ugly. I have to admit I looked at them because pricewise they are the cheapest newest used midsize truck out there that comes with a facotry rear e-locker (RMZ packaged), but they are uglier than my Nissan and harder to find lol.

    Here is a lifted RMZ.

i don’t know if it has to do with area but i have not seen them listed that high at all around here. i have only seen them list for around 31k at the most for a TRD OR with entune. hell the baja's were listing for around 33k around here.

also i have all ways seen better deals/offers on full size trucks.
