Assuming you're poking holes in paper I'm sure it doesn't get in the way. If you're using an RDS the proper way (both eyes open) and are right handed I have a hard time seeing that that wouldn't be obstructing the entire left half of your sight picture if it's something more than just a stationary paper target.

Also, lose the angled sights man and put a real rear sight on that rifle. The sight radius you sacrifice to get offset sights is shorter than that on a 1911. I know turning your rifle sideways to shoot looks cool but it's not even necessary with a 1x RDS. It's more for guys who run fixed magnification optics on competition and want a quick transition to close targets with irons. Having the pointless A2 fixed front site w/o an accompanying rear sight just makes it look that much more pointless.

In short, you need to make sure the shit you put on your rifle makes sense together and for the purpose intended. Otherwise it's wasted money, additional weight and more shit to go wrong that just gets in the way. The wasted money part could be used for ammo, training and actually using the think to see what your needs are and how it all works together.

I'm sure someone will come along to tell me that my opinion is insulting you somehow again so I'll just stand by and wait for that to happen now.

I've got a Magpul BUIS on it just not in the picture. I was still adjusting the distance of the magnifier from the Red Dot to get a proper sight picture. I'll still keep it flipped to the left and I understand what you are saying but in reality it doesn't get in the way as much as you might think. Canted sights you might not like and I understand that also but they are sighted in perfectly at 50 Yrds. Green laser is sighted in dead bullseye at 25yrds without even aiming the rifle with a sight. BUIS are co witnessed through the RDS with the flip of a button. So... even though it might look like a lot of shit on it (and it is) it functions exactly like I want it too and still weighs less than 10 lbs.

    To each their own ;)

Two sets of irons, one of which is missing half of the required parts & the other has about a 4" radius and canted.

    Green laser.

4 aiming devices all set at various zero's to distances that can EASILY be held over w/o much thought.

All that and a great explanation as to why it's the best when somebody questions the need. Yeah, you may just be beyond help. Good luck with all that. I honestly thought those were joke pics when I first saw them. Then, when I realized you were fore the reals and given our recent PM conversation I felt compelled to offer some guidance since you seem like a somewhat decent fella even if a bit misguided at times.

Despite what you see from the internet warriors trust when I say less is more when it comes to AR15's and firearms in general. Only what you need. High speed, low drag. KISS

    This isn't your goal:

Don't take my word for it. Post those pictures on a real gun forum and see what happens.
