I'm really liking the theory!! If it works lmk!! I'd rather have my light bar exposed. The strips actually look like they belong there as well! Like where you're going with this...

    Sub'd...lol

Basically you loose like 90% of wind noise...you can still hear the bar up there but it's only noticeable if there a breeze or cross wind etc

just cut some medium/high density foam into 9 pieces at work.. 2" wide, about 4-4.2MM thick, and length was cut according to the depth of the fins. fit them tightly between 3 fins each. one set per side, and one set in the middle. we will see how it does on lunch on my drive home. if not, ill come back and try it again. either longer pieces, more, or in different positions/fins.

    thats a 50 raduis correct?
where did you buy the mounts from? Did you have to drill into the roof to install? what about the weatherstrips?
    Thanks

    hi buddy.

Yessir. They are Relentless Fab mounts. They use the factory roof rack holes (why I went with them) so no extra drilling. I used a nylon spacer to keep the mounts from crushing down too much on the weatherstrip.. which.. when installing, you will need to either drill the holes, or take a notch out of the side of the weatherstrip. Either way, you'll be fighting against a thin metal strip inside the weatherstrip. I used snips to cut through it.

didnt know relentless makes mounts for the roof. Just found it on their website. Cheaper than most too.

    Thanks!

No problem. There are cheaper... but like I said.. the fact that they utilize the factory holes was the selling point.
