i was talking to monte about this and he never replied, but im working on a video project, and at this point the thing holding them back is some post production and color correction, same shit u goons do with your pics. only problem is i have no clue how to use the saturation and color correction tools in the editor. so when i get it rough edited do ya think you could roll through and suggest what things could be enhanced, similar to looking at a photo album? im sure the tools have the same names, for baaaasic color balance on video and still, i just need a quick tip on using them correctly

i dont even know what tools to use to play with the light balance and colors.

i didnt read this till after i already did a ton of work...but the way youre supposed to do it is edit the entire clip for light balance and saturation and what not then cut them up and place in the track...i did it the other way around lol

like some of the intro clips were when it was gray and cloudy...so i assume i should enhance them to bring out the colors of the terrain so its not so bleh.

or some clips look a bit too bright or washed out from the sun perhaps...how do i fine tune that down so its not so white?

Watch some tutorials..i have no idea what you are using to edit..so i can't help either.

But i do know that addressing the clips separately to deal with that kind of stuff is fine.

But then you have to go over the full thing and do color correction so it all looks the same. Very tricky.

 

exactly. what was what i meant, i could correct the entire say, 1 minute clip and correct it the same, but instead for this edit i have to correct each cut up bit from that clip separately. im sure there is a way to apply the same one to multiple clips but i havent found it




oohhh, just found the sharpen tool and outline edges. almost looks like HDR now and brighter.

I dont think I was giving myself the patience to just go in there and see what each of the effects did. I found a couple of nice tools that im pretty excited about. After seeing what the clips looked like after I edited them vs how they were before, im pretty stoked that it will look a ton better

 

I was just thinking, with today's cell phones getting larger, I wouldn't be able to put one in a girl's snatched unless it was an iPhone 6 plus and I could fold it in half first hahaha
