He has. Not sure if the other tacoma is on here. and and I rolled my last truck. Not trying to roll this one. but it is for looks and function. I had it go straight down the cab instead of across to make a triangle so it wouldn't be over my head. Hopefully I never have to use it.

Thinking about going to the frame. but ive heard it will make the ride alot noisier. and my friend said this is how alot of people are doing it now. Just down to the floor with the bar running along the floor connecting the base. and he used 4130 DOM

It is welded to a metal sheet then thats welded to the floor of the cab... Should I go threw to the frame? We talked about welding to a metal sheet on the floor of the cab and then another sheet on the bottom then welded to the frame. But he assured me that with the bar connecting them at the bottom it would be fine. If he is wrong please tell me. I don't want it punching threw if anything does happen. and i am going to get pads for the bars by my head. just haven't got them yet.

 

you should scrap it. Make it triangles. And go straight to the frame. Cut holes and run the tubing to the frame.

Otherwise, just a death trap.

As you have it if you cash it'll just rip off the sheet metal its attached too then it'll come down on top of you and crush you. As the bars are now they will likely fold and cave easy.

Yeah, you will want to do that and follow the above advice with gussets and triangular supports, then foam it (like you have planned). You have to build it to not just last a rollover at 2mph but also a highway crash.

When I did my old truck, I used a mudflap with a slit and trimmed to fit the rollbar.

 

So I get a metal on metal banging noise coming from the back half of my truck when I come up the curb on my driveway one tire at a time. It sounds like something metal is loose and banging onto another metal object, the only issue is I can figure out what it is. I've checked everything I could while under the truck and nothing is loose. Could ujoints or the center bearing on the d shaft be causing this? It's loud enough and hard enough that I can hear it over the radio and feel it in my seat.

There is zero noise when the front end of my truck hits the curb to get into my driveway.

I've checked my spare tire, bumper, hitch, gas tank, leafs, t case, tranny. And I'm sure some other random shit as well

I am ready to burn the truck down.

Bought 6 quarts of mobil 1 5w30 synthetic, mobil 1 synthetic transmission fluid, some mobil 1 gear oil and a k & n air filter.....got a busy day coming up

 

Actually he just took the chunk of floor he cut out and split it and then cut a hole in it so it just wrapped around the tube and welded it back in
