Money's tight right now and cant afford rims. Was wondering whos running 285 75 16's on there stock rims the tires recomend at least a 7.5 inch wide rim but the stockers are only 7". Just wanting ppl's input on what they think about doing this and yes i will be running spidertrax wheel spacers.

Just to piggyback if you don't mind. What would minimal lift be to fit the 285's?

i think it all depends on how aggressive the tread pattern is.

I had minimal trimming with the billies set at 2.5"

Probably could fit 285/75/16 all terrain tires at 1.75".

mud terrains at 285/75/16 probably wouldnt fit at 1.75"

I ran 285 mud kings on stock rims with no spacers for about 20k miles, with only a little rubbing on the control arm, not too bad just at full lock it would rub. I wheeled quite a bit with no issues. I'm running 3" lift and didn't have to trim at all until I got new wheels.

Can you guys post some pics? I'm interested as well. Can't afford wheels so I'm looking at tire options right now.

Sorry I can't seem to find any pics with the stock wheels, but if your local and wanted to see how they fit, I still have them in my storage, more than welcome to test fit them and take them for a drive in exchange for a couple of tall cans.
