funny story.... I coach wrestling now, and when I met my gf back in highschool, I picked her up like I was double legging her... weve been in love ever since...

 

Truth

Much respect to wrestling. My cousin and his best friend wrestled all through high school and his training was fucking crazy. His friend actually went on to wrestle at Indiana. I would say that them being in the gym lifting made them better wrestlers though

EDIT: I just saw that you're in GA. Where do you coach at? My cousin and his friend wrestled at Henry Co High. Do you know of Evan Warrington or his brother? He was on my cousin's team and apparently him and his brother were wrestling Gods. I think Evan is 23 and his brother might be around 27. My cousin's friend that wrestled at Indiana is Anthony Fretwell; he was pretty badass, too

ive heard of fretwell, and I help coach JV at Parkview high school.

 

That's cool. Yeah, Fretwell just graduated last semester, so I guess his wrestling days are over, but he was a beast. His dad (Cliff Fretwell) owns a place in Henry Co. called Compound wrestling, which specializes in wrestling training. According to my cousin, that Warrington kid I mentioned was a few years older than me and was one of the top in the country and got busted smoking pot in college and lost his scholarship and went downhill from there. Apparently, his little brother did something similar. Natural talent completely wasted.

How was it on the other side?

 

I felt like I needed to crossfit to get the rage outta my system.

 

Yes pot is a gateway drug...gateway to going the wrong way.

 

I have no idea what/who that is lol...But, the only stuff I know about wrestling is what my cousin tells me. Have you heard of Compound?

I got banned cuz my leg day got me all tuned up and I said some stuff I'm pretty proud of.

 

yep... that's why I was so excited to talk about TWA

 

wrestling will make you a better athlete in ANYTHING you do....

How many of you guys work out at night? I went at 8:30 last night and it was packed. I usually go at 6:30 am, so I was a bit thrown off. Seemed like every machine had some using it at some point, so I did a bunch of cardio (row machine and bike), front squats then jump ropes and sit ups. Didn't get much lifting done, but I was over trying to squeeze my sets in between everyone else.

 

that is probably true, but rolling on the ground with a buncha dudes is not really my thing.
