I have had my Taco about two months and the dealer has called me 3 times to tell me I paid for tint and it's not on my truck. Well, on the third call, I answered, I told them is was tinted, not very dark, and I didn't need to come in. They said come in and we can check, they also said that the front two windows have nothing on them. Well I'm no dummy, I can see that it is tinted and that when you roll down the window you can see the line where the tint meets the window! Retards! So I called my salesperson and he said that if they want you to come in so bad, come in and have them "re-tint" the back the way you want done, limo! So hey, we will see what they say!

Did they charge you extra for something that the truck already has? That would be my first question

They said I paid for it, but I don't see anywhere on my contract or anything that I did. I didn't think they were one of those dealers that put the tint on all vehicles, but maybe they do. That's why I was thinking, if I paid for something, I want it done my way!

A dealer will hound you if you paid for something and they don't have it signed off that it's been completed. They can't fully say that the truck has been delivered and get it off their books until the delivery terms are met and signed off.

I suspect that your dealer offered you an aftermarket tinting application despite the fact that the windows are already factory tinted. A number of dealers out here offer that for those that want the tint darker than factory. Also the factory can't technically "tint" the forward windows in many states only the ones behind the driver. An aftermarket company though will do it though and tell you that if you get a ticket it's your fault not theirs. It's illegal here in California to do anything side or forward of the driver unless it's factory glass but that's usually less than 15% tint.

I would make them show you where you paid for it and possibly make them refund it or give you something else in exchage.

Since you are in the Southwest (as I am in the Southeast), I believe all of the vehicles have sufficient tinting from the factory. Any more tinting on my vehicle and it may start to be boarderline illegal.

Ya I know about that. I sold cars a few years back. But here in AZ, the dealer can tint those windows, but only do legal, 35%. That's what I currently have all the way around. They said they can do the limo in the back, most places will. On most car deals, any extra things the dealer has added in on the extra side strip next to the car sticker, and mine doesn't even state it there! The one question I do have, is whether that is par of my "desert pkg" that was added. As far as I knew, that was the paint protection from the sun! So that in a few years my truck isn't baby blue!

It sounds like a bunch of lies. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. They're probably going to try to sneak some parts off of your truck or even swap out your truck. Maybe they forgot to write down the VIN and now they need it, but they don't want to sound stupid.
