    Copied from a MSNBC news story:

    Hyundai also discovered that metal valve stem caps can interfere with the radio signal from its tire pressure monitors, so the company has specified plastic caps only.

    Interesting.

    I never had metal caps on long enough to see if they rusted. Damn neighborhood kids kept stealing them and putting them on their bicycles.

    I have been running the metal valve caps on my truck since new.....Doesnt seem to afect the TPMS.
