...so I duck into this thread to see what's new and all I see are way too many ducking puns

Don't get all in a flap about this, but you better get that quacked windshield fixed before you get some fowl weather. It would be pretty ducked up to get your taco all wet on the inside.

I hit a red-tailed hawk that way, I thought that it was coming through, I was shocked that it didn't break the windshield! Your problem was that it hit near the edge. The edge is always the weakest part of glass. We used to do testing with 1" man-made ice balls and steel ball bearings at a former place of employment. You could drop something heavy towards the middle with no issue, but it got weaker as you get closer to the edge. If you actually hit the edge, it broke every time.

 

Di you have your state and federal duck stamps? If not your poaching dood. LOL

 

You can fix your windshield with "duck" tape.

 

Hit a duck in a helicopter about ten years ago doing 100 MPH. Not pretty, for both of us. Lots of shit in my pants.
