    i have had a few friends buy the BRZ and then get rid of it within 6 months because it just wasnt very quick. one ended up with a miata, and the other is still looking for an s2k he likes. (i'd go s2k, VTEC yo!)

    I started looking at BMW's for a bit, as some decent ones can be had for less than $12k around here.

    Then I remembered that it's a BMW and I'm not buying something that can only be repaired at a dealer haha

    If you buy something older they're simple to work on. It's once they started putting a bunch of bullshit electronics that things started to suck, but that was pretty much the case of all german cars.

    I remember hearing something about a car company (probably german) was trying to figure out a way to reduce the amount of wiring in a car by having one massive wire running to specific parts of the vehicle, and based on voltage drop is where they would connect a component to the main wire.

    Imagine trying to troubleshoot that at home haha
