Yeah I've been trying to decide if it's that coffee or maybe my coffee maker that sucks.

I don't blame you. I hate the red bucket stuff. Fortunately, we have a Keurig at the office :)

Using a good coffee maker helps too. I've got a percolator, leaps and bounds better than a regular coffee maker. Have a keurig as well, but don't buy the pods. We just use the reusable insert and buy the huge bulk bags of DD coffee from BJ's

Our reusable pods never work right. Either it causes a backup and overflow, or it lets like ALL the grounds into the cup

Weird. Not sure what brand ours is, it's black though. The key is putting just the right amount in, and packing it down a little.

No. I was thinking about going up Saturday after work with the camper and wheeling Sunday but it looks like it's going to rain Saturday and most people are only wheeling for a little bit on Sunday so I don't plan on going.

Get a better pod thing. No grinds for me. There is no way you could get them, the screen is do damn fine. Only way I could think of is if you are over filling it. You only fill it till about 3/4 of the way. Any more and I guess grinds could splash out the top.

For good coffee you need to have patience. Those single serve pod coffee and Mr Coffee machine are not meant to give you a good cup, just a cup. That being said I have one also cause aint nobody got time for that

Same here. That's why on weekend or if I'm working from home it's the percolator. Not many places sell them anymore, and they're expensive. But so worth it.

    That's racist.

We've got an industrial coffee maker here at work. Great for producing large quantities of coffee, not so great at producing great quality coffee.

At home we use a coffee siphon or a french press, depending on how much of a hurry I'm in. But the Green Mountain that we typically use is SOOOO much better than that bucket coffee at work.

I picked up an enameled percolator at the local camping supply store a few years ago for about $20. We only use it when we're camping, but it works well and it was cheap enough. I'd like to get a good stainless steel one at some point, but $$$

I just bought a new percolator for camping a couple months ago and damn near shit a brick at the price. I paid $40 for a stainless steel one. And, of course, found my old one a month later... :frusty:
