I did, I changed the front. Easy to replace. Toughest part is the nut, it's staked on. I reused mine and re-staked it but you might want to replace it, your call.

Thanks for the tip. Went and picked up the seal today, nut was like $3.50, so I just picked a new one up.

Restaked one when I replaced my carrier bearing, really didn't think anything of it. But while I was at the dealership I though I might as well.

It's been about 3500 miles on the new Iroks, thought I'd do a write up.
For starters, I have just rotated them. The pics are the "after".
I have been running the tires at around 36-38 psi.
I just recently started running them at 30 psi as I did notice a little more wear in the center of the tires on the rear. And the ride quality improved at 30 psi.

The driver front, this one wore the worst, alignment obviously. The outer edge wore the most. Notice the tread block with no siping left. The rest of the tread was fine.

This one was the passenger side front. Now it's on the rear. it wore a little bit again on the outer edge but not nearly as bad. This is actually the amount of wear I expected to see on a lifted IFS front end.

And these were on the rear, now up front. They wore very little and they wore evenly as expected.

So it was time to rotate them anyway at 3500 miles, but I'll be keeping a closer eye on the driver front. An alignment is pointless on mine as I have no adjustment.

So my impression on the tires...

Off road, I'm impressed, but I knew what to expect as I have a set on another vehicle. Being unlocked front and rear it was nice to see the difference having a set of tires with aggressive tread made. Holes and obstacles that left me spinning before were no problem. Mud is actually fun to run through. They have great ride quality aired down to a mere 18psi. Running them at 12psi is even sweeter.

They are a load range D so not as stiff as most heavy wall tires but much better than a C rated sidewall for flex and control without sidewall roll on the trail.

    Highway and around town.
Drone baby, lot's of drone. But it's nice cause people hear you coming and they get to check out a sweet ride rolling up on them...
    Just kidding. No, not really.
They are noisy at lower speeds, around 35-40. The noise smooths out a little bit at higher speeds for lack of a better term. Normal conversation is possible in the cab.

Not the best at high speed cornering, even D rated there is some noticeable sidewall roll on the corners at higher than posted speeds.

Ride is pretty good. They ride soft but not as smooth as a regular tire. at lowers speeds you can feel the lugs, which I think is pretty cool.

Would I buy another set? Yep.

    Hey Brett,

Did you get a tread depth on them? How much tread has worn off in 3500 miles?

(The siping still looks really good, btw)

I have not measured but I would estimate 1/16"plus off the rear and maybe a bit more on the front. Most of the miles are pavement. I'll be surprised to hit 25-30,000 miles with these but I didn't buy them for mileage :p
    Thanks!

I went and did some checking. The website says 20/32" of tread. I have nothing to verify this. This is for all intents, 5/8"

So I measured mine, this was the front tire.

    This was the rear tire
    [IMG]

This is when they were brand new.

If the manufacturer specs are correct, I have worn off 1/8" in 3500 miles.
The "new" pic seems to look much beefier than the older pics.

So these are probably 15,000-20,000 mile tires if driven on the pavement.
I'll post again as time goes by.

I did my own version of the frame plate mod. I had these laying around, they looked like they would work nicely. They are 3/16" plate.

^I like the frost pics... winter is just around the corner. Post up your impressions of your tires, when you get them on some packed snow and ice. I think they'll do pretty well, from the look of them.

I did my frame plates exactly the same way with 2 pieces per side. Has been working well for a couple years now. Nice job.

Thank you, I was surprised to actually notice a difference, mainly when sudden braking occurs. Rear end used to hop with hard braking, like reverse wheel hop due to acceleration. It went away, and I tried a few times to duplicate it. :D

Last week we finally got some snow. :yay:
Pulling out of my driveway seemed ok. Stopping at the intersection, not so well. In fact, was slicker than pig fat in a hot pan

So I had them siped at Discount Tire. They did an okay job with the siping, but really it's uneven and inconsistent, not thrilled with their work.
There was an improvement overall in forward traction, braking and cornering. Still not as good as dedicated snow tires but doable.

Deep snow, only been out once so far and they seemed to do just fine. Also the frame plates I welded in the rear have definitely helped with 90% of the rear end hopping around.

    Rant:
Now, I have to rotate the tires again as Discount felt the need to rotate them for me, even though I asked them not too.... I swear those guys don't listen to a damn thing. Also, they sent me on my way with 20 psi in the tires... The tire shop I used to use went out of business a few months back unfortunately. Rant over.

Discount does suck. I swear they get the dumbest people to work there. When I got my tires on, one of the techs got in my truck to pull it into the bay and while he was waiting for the current car to pull out I noticed my aux lights flash on and off. Like this dumb tard just gets in someone's truck and presses buttons to see what happens??!?!

On another note, I might have to make my own frame plates up now that you say there's a big difference.
