Whats up from Linden! New to the taco world, guess this is where I belong? Just introducing myself. Wish I could make it over to big dogs event at the cove this weekend but looks like ill be working in reston instead...anyone else headed out there?

Don't let them pack you in like they did us. Just wave friendly like and keep on driving to the back right of the pasture up on the hill. So wish we would have. Realy debating on moving spots. They packed the front "level" ground to tight. Oh the hot water portable shower demo booth is amazing after a long day!

Driveshaft vibration common

 

Lifting changes drive-line angles and causes drive-shaft vibrations. There's a couple of ways to try and correct it, all of which try to get the drive-shaft back towards it's stock angles. If the vibration isn't too bad you can drive it that way for a while, but it will cause extra wear on components over time.

 

Really wishing I wan't having a head gasket problem all of a sudden. I wanted to make it to OE East this weekend!

 

I haven't tackled this sort of issue on a Tacoma before, so hopefully others can point you in the right direction. On my Jeep I started with a transfer case drop, which helped a lot, and eliminated the remaining vibrations by placing shims on the axle to rotate it up a touch. This was after I installed a SYE output on my transfer case and bought a custom drive-shaft to try and avoid vibrations in the first place.

Gotta love lifts...they always give you something else to buy or work on. Good luck!
