Consult with a lawyer would be my choice. See if it is worth fighting. Still BS IMO how Toyota left you high and dry.

You're obviously not the original owner.

When the truck was new and delivered, what other state did it get registered in??

... that's probably why they say your vin doesn't make the list.

How many years have you owned it? In what state did the previous owner have it registered?

I wonder if you could get in touch with other owners who have had the frame problem covered on their Tacos with the recall and try to determine what the difference in your and theirs is.

Um, because you would've told them so. If so, there would be no argument with Toyota. You didn't say that in your original post.

... So i'll ask you... are you the original owner and has the truck been in PA all it's life?

That's about the worst one I have seen, I'm in PA too. I traded my 2006 and it looked a little rusty but nothing like that. That my friend is terminal frame cancer.

If it were me, I'd call the Toyota Customer care number and start working on them, or if you have a good relationship with a dealer, start from that angle. I used both methods when I lemoned my 2013 and I'm now driving a brand new 2014 with no cost to me.

Toyota gave me no reason as to why my truck did not qualify other than they are only having specific problem with certain frame manufacturers and my frame did not come from them according to my vin #..
I would love to talk to others that had replaced or repaired frames... Also I saw a post on here someone attached a picture of the letter Toyota sent them for the service campaign SC-EOD and I can't find it anywhere if someone knows where it is can you please attach it so i can show it to my lawyer if i get one... I asked toyota for it they said they eont send me a copy because my vehicle dont apply but its also public information.. Thanks in advance

Keep calling them. I was told the same thing and after my 3rd rep. Finally she finally confirmed e0d. But, still said my bin wasn't listed. Turns out I just had to wait for the campaign to go active in ny. Low & behold, my non covered vin # suddenly showed up on the website?!?

What dealer sold the truck when new? Do you know?

If you're the first and only owner, (you didn't say so) you will have no problem with this rust issue... period.

Weather or not im the original owner or not has nothing to do with it.. Truck never left Pa . I Guarantee u u dont have to be original owner of a truck to have recall work done... My friend just had all recall work done on his Toyota spiral cable gas pedal and just got letter for leaf spring. ..

I bought 8 year old work vans used and was able to get recall work done ... its a law and safety issue

So he's not the original owner. All you had to do was answer the question. Nobody's trying to shit talk on you, they're trying to help you out

    ^ what he said....

But yes a recall is a recall could be the 100th owner. As long as your vin is in order for repair it can get done when ever..

I would go to another toyota dealer and just simply ask them to run the vin to see if it has recalls or repairs...

Keep at it man hope everything works out

    EVERYBODY knows that.

If the truck came new from Florida, then got sold again a short time later in PA, I could see some resistance from Toyota.

I noticed It's tough to get a straight answer form you.

    Good luck with your plight.
