fluid pump noise TRD SC

Howdy y'all

I'm sure this is 100% normal but I'm the paranoid type. I noticed when I turn my key to the auxiliary position the pump/reservoir that was installed as part of the TRD supercharger starts pushing fluid/oil, you can actually hear it. So I guess question one, is that normal? And if so why? Again not being technical my assumption is that its pushing fluid into the gears for lubrication prior to the engine starting but not sure?

Yes, once your key in in the on position your intercooler pump will turn on - yes it's normal. You will also notice that the pump will run a check every once in a while when the truck is parked and no key is in. This is normal as the wiring of the pump is connected to a fuse which allows the ecu to run a check of the system and this triggers the pump for a couple of seconds. Did you just have the charger installed?

Sweet!! Are running it on the dealer ecu reflash? I just put on my 2.7 pulley, 7th injector, and fuel pressure guage the other day and been jamming around all day wasting gas

 

Thats gunna put a little strain on your injectors and would you consider getting new rods and piston heads the stocks ones must be taking a hammerin

So what mods are you considering?

 

Well I've already put the cat back TRD exhaust on and some slightly larger more aggressive tires. Got a Roll-X tonneau cover made by BAK industries. thats about it so far.
