    Truck was sold new in Pa???? Yes I know dealer??? Would u like a photo of badge???

    This is a recall not safetyplaint! !!
    All recalls are granted and done weather or not u are original owner... I Guarantee You..

    Can someone back me up here?? Recalls are granted to others than original.

    Well a few points here...one, the special service campaign is not a recall per SE. Second owner shouldn't be an issue unless the original dealer was outside of the 20 state area. I'm the second owner bought, lived in vt. Then bought again in vt., then lived in ny. I'm getting a new frame.

    Just keep calling them till you get someone who will help

    Did you consider calling Hanover Toyota?... instead of thinking about getting a lawyer?

    I'd call that dealer first, if I were you.

    Don't know if it's been answered yet, but how long have you owned the truck? I know Toyota had a policy that if you owned the truck less than a certain amount of time, the replacement / buyback didn't apply. This was to avoid people picking up rusted out trucks for cheap and then trying to profit on them.

    Ouch. Sorry to hear that. I lost my '99 due to frame rust. Because of it's age, the factory bought it back from me instead of replacing the frame. I was in a similar situation that my truck's body and interior were spotless, but the frame was garbage.

    Im not sure if that short term ownership thing is true I know a guy who bought 6 tacoma s in 97 98 years when they bought them back and he made a lot of money no question asked ... This is not the case I paid all but Nada when I bought it... im not looking for profit I want a truck to last more than 8 years ... that's not trying to get one over on Toyota. ... My friend had his 98 bought back and destroyed I specifically stayed away from a Tacoma for many years for that reason only to buy a 06 with a frame that got way worse than his ever did... I dont understand they make a awesome truck and u think after all the craps they went through years back with frames they would get it right by 06 !!! My wife drives a 05 Rav 4 YES BOUGHT NEW ORIGINAL OWNER! ! LOL FRAME is great minimum rust 250K on clock auto trans... No problem My family owns numerous Toyota no problem only seem to be trucks.... I dont get it.... My truck was safety recalled for air bag concerning safety but obviously not worried about my frame....
