    The GP4 has almost no price drops anywhere. You'll find some GP3's that are now coming down in price. I've had the best luck with craigslist for GP's.

    I just purchased the GoPro black Hero 3+, great camera but just make sure you have a computer that will compliment the camera. I didn't. These cameras are very demanding on memory and processors. The new GoPro 4 even more so.

    This is a very good point.

    I have a handful of machines and my QuadCore Xeon 2.66ghz with 8gigs of ram and its struggles with full 1080p video editing. ended up OC'ing my video cards and memory to compensate and now I have no issues editing on a machine that is 6 years old.

    Now on my Macbook pro, i7 2.7ghz, 16gigs of ram, I have no issues editing video.

    if its an i series chip you'll be 'ok'. If its a core 2 duo, you are going to have a hard time unless you got a good video card.

    Not sure of exact specs. its a 6 year old Gateway laptop, I have a computer geek building me a tower for the GoPro. The Gopro site lists the required specs needed.

    You'll be able to work but it will be slow/laggy. When you play a 1080p superwide it may not be able to without issues.
